PB4Tazman
Hi all! This might have been asked before, but I could not find it if so. I am trying to setup a MP mission, where a player controlled downed pilot( IGLA manpad) needs to be found and rescued by other players. The problem I am having, is that no matter what mission settings I set for F10 view in the ME, the JTAC player can see all the allied planes in the area. Is there a way to keep the allied planes off of the JTAC F10 map? I have tried setting the planes to invisible in the advanced waypoints and also hidden on map with no luck. I want the JTAC player to have to evade the enemy while also guiding the search planes to his location. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers! ED Team NineLine Posted May 25, 2015 ED Team Share Posted May 25, 2015 Thanks, I'll have a look tonight, I would imagine the JTAC player should be effected as with anyone else with what they can and cant see based on the settings in the ME. ED Team NineLine Posted May 26, 2015 ED Team Share Posted May 26, 2015 Ok, first off, I totally read your message wrong, missed the part about allied flights. I think if its a player controlled unit, there is no real way of hiding it from friendlies. The problem is that CA units arent assigned by slots like aircraft are. So in order to use CA, you need to be able to pick a CA slot, then see all the units to either control them or click on them to use. So really this would be a good feature request I think, to be able to assign a vehicle like an aircraft, that a player could chose that slot and then possibly not be seen... The only way you could really pull it off right now is use a red unit as the unit you are searching for, and set all the friendly AI units ROE to hold fire. Something like that. PB4Tazman
That is what I thought might have to happen. I guess I could use a moving zone on the player unit as a "captured by the enemy" scenario. Thanks for looking into it! Cheers! Tazman
