SPEKTRE76

Recommended Posts

v1.08 is now available.

See underlined text for changes. I forgot to add a step and incorrectly called out two switch locations.

Hello all,

I made this for the new pilots to the A-10C like myself. I hope you can all use it. It is a Microsoft Word Document containing a step by step Pre-Taxi checklist to get you going.

Enjoy!

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

FYI, you should always turn the APU Gen off before the APU. The APU should never be shut down (or started) in a loaded condition.

Good to know I will change that. It is however the way the DCS tutorial does it FYI.

I thin when I change that I will add pictures to my PDF. I feel this will make it even easier.

Yeah, I'd go with an A-10C Crew Chief & Quality Assurance Chief's procedure over the DCS tutorial.

Brother, I wasn't doubting you. I just meant I followed their instructions :book:.

That is pretty cool to know. Are you 'Turn Qualed' (Start the plane for maint?). I was an F-14A and F-14B Plane Captain (Crew Chief) in VF-32, NAS Oceana, VA.

FYI Snoopy is the checklist master. You might want to check some of the older threads on manuals and You might want to take a look at Snoopy's Qualifications before you start giving him the FYI On the A-10C.

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

The FYI was not meant as sarcasm. I don't know how else to say it. Just PM me these sort of things.

You're good I knew what you meant :D and to answer your other question yes I am engine run qualified. I never actually did the ED start up training since I know the real procedures.

Nice, off-topic a bit but I wish you have some checklists and procedures memorized and stored for the upcoming LN F14A/B then. Some similar checklists to this A-10C one would be nice then. ;)

For the F-14 you have to download the NATOPS F-14AAD: https://info.publicintelligence.net/F14AAD-1.pdf

For the 'B' Model download the NATOPS F-14AAP-1B: https://info.publicintelligence.net/F14AAP-1B.pdf
