Activation after hard drive death

Hi,

My hard died and I couldn't de-activate all the modules. So I need now to re-activate all of them again. in this am I going lose 1 activation?

looking at the activation manual:

An activation will be required if the hardware/software changes exceed 12 points as rated below:

CPU ID: 13

Windows PID: 3

Computer Name: 3

Hard drive volume serial number: 3

MAC address: 6

RAM amount: 6

So here I guess achieved 9 points if am not mistaken, so still not exceeded 12 points.

kind of confusion :(

I wouldn't worry to much about it to be honest. Even if you use up your 10 activations (counter 0), after one month your counter will be on 1 again.

How does that counter anyways even work?

As far I now understand, DRM will check the license from Online and if it is 0 or it doesn't get connection to license server, DRM will start counting 30 days from that moment and add by itself 1 license for the computer.

Meaning, if the user has 0 activations left (and HDD crashes) or doesn't get internet connection (or Eagle Dynamics is gone and license server same time) then the module activation can be done only 30 days after installation try.
