which weapon systems?

Found it¡ http://eurofighter.airpower.at/cockpit-mfd.htm and also some pics:

And IRST/Pirate presentation on the mfd in search mode:

Off topic: Why has my reputation gone low? How does exactly work? Last day I had like 8 or so and now is in red because I have 0.

I don't recall doing nothing wrong :(.

I hadn't thought about the meteor ¡¡, It would be a game changer on bvr against everything but the Raptor...

And are you planning on simulate the HMS stryker? I can't imagine the combination asraam/iris-t with the Helmet cueing system

plus incredible agility will do in close combat :)

We will be looking at all country variants of the Typhoon and their associated weapon systems.

However, please be aware that there is also a lot of development time to get the missile mechanics correct, not to mention modeling them all and collecting data.

Meteor was my favorite in EF-2000 glad it is considered, ASRAAM with HMD is awesome and ALARM against SAMs if you ever did a preemptive launch and let yourself be tracked, knowing full well your ALARM is dangling on the parachute and waiting for just that...! :D

Though I think the others are right: BVR with Meteor against SU-27 or Mig-29 they won't even see it coming.

If what they modelled in EF-2000 is halfway true to the real thing the Meteor is a a stealthy predator, at the least. With Datalink capability you even need not have a radar lock on the enemy.

Look at MDBAs page:http://www.mbda-systems.com/products/air-dominance/meteor/26/

Well,I don't expect at least for the moment to simulate the two way datalink as there is no information of how it works(and even less about one typhoon locking a target for other to shoot),but I do expect proper no escape zone and range simulations, with captor range I would expect engagements against non stealhy fighters in excess of 50 miles.

Most definitely! Some sources state operational range of 60mi+ :D

if you realy manage to model the Brimstone 'near' to the live variant (specially the tracking and fireing procedure) i going wild ^^

Who don't know the Brimstone here are some Videos about it, it's a hell of an A/G Missile and got heavy used in the lybia conflict:

Ells228 will you release everything in a big giant Pack or will you split the weapons up in DLC bundels?

I ask because this weaponsystems are reeeaaaaly complex and i bet some of them will cost you much time and resources

THAT.

Two ship SEAD anyone??

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Missile dangling on a parachute. Easy target, isnt it? ;)

Nope! It isn't... it has unique new loitering capabilities.

Citation:

" Operating Modes

The ALARM has five distinct operating modes which are programmed prior to launch. All of these modes employ the vertical attack trajectory.

The Direct Mode is a classical offensive mode, where the ALARM is fired directly at the chosen target to which range and bearing are known, the missile flies an optimal trajectory to engage the target in as short a time as is possible. Should the emitter go off the air, the missile will flex to the next best target.

The unique Loiter Mode also assumes the target range and bearing are known, and is used to defeat a radar which is being taken off the air to prevent ARM attack. The ALARM will fly a climbing trajectory to a point above the target, deploy its parachute, and while slowly descending it will search for the target. Once the target lights up, the missile will dive on to the target. To force an emitter off the air for a longer period of time, a second round would be launched some time after the first.

The third mode which assumes known range and bearing to the target is the Dual Mode, in which the missile initially flies the Direct Attack profile. Should the target shut down, the missile will switch to Loiter Mode and wait for it to light up again.

Two modes are used for situations where the position of threat emitters is not known prior to launch. The Corridor/Area Suppression Mode is optimised for low altitude launches, in this mode the missile initially climbs steeply, and then coasts in a shallow dive searching for targets programmed before launch. The Universal Mode is similar, but is optimised for medium to high latitude launch and provides a larger search pattern and better range. Both of these modes are intended for use against mobile SAM systems or maritime targets."

I loved it in EF-2000 back in the 90ies! Just the 2 modes then...

EDIT: 40,000 ft ceiling while loitering will require veeeery fast Jets to take them out, and remember - there is a wing of Typhoons waiting for you.

50nm range sounds also like you need not bother with most SAM's threat envelopes too much...

ALARM actually sounds a bit more impressive than AGM-88C. Very good capability against radar shut down. I think I'd have a tough time in SAM Simulator against that. ;)

You bet! In old EF2000 they just modeled two modes - direct and loiter - and even then SEAD was easy if you had good situational awareness, say not dumb enough to directly fly into a known SAM's engagement zone.

I guess anything else than S300 in DCS will have a hard time against these.
