Silver_Dragon
Pman put them: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2049048&postcount=75 The tanker that we talked about for the Typhoon will be a fully flyable aircraft with multiple positions to allow someone to fly it while another is operating as the boom operator. As for the AI for it we will endeavor to have it working the same as the tankers that are in there now but that will take some work. This is in the long term plans either way. I think has very early to talk over the "tanker" but I think that can be a actual RAF air-plane (VC-10 or TriStar). My main candidate as the VC-10. Not sure, but in some post, VEAO talking over that airplane on a visit to the VC-10 Tanker unit and the trouble of future retirement, saying not bad see them into DCS: W. The VC-10 / TriStar can get a second line if applicable, a "civil" version airliner can open the civilian scope into DCS: W. :) Link to comment
SmilingBandit
A boom operator would imply an aircraft with a boom. Leaving only a handful of options: KC-135 KC-10 KC-767 KC-46 MRTT Or some real unlikely options: KC-707 KC-747 KB-50 KC-97 Link to comment
Random
For me it can only be the VC10. They should never have been retired. Edit: Actually after a little more thought. Handley Page Victor would also be rather nice! And would possibly open up the possibility of a future bomber version.... Edited June 3, 2014 by Random Link to comment
VTJS17_Fire
A boom operator would imply an aircraft with a boom. Which isn't needed for the Typhoon, because it uses the probe - like russian tanker have (without a boom). Vampyre
I would like to see the Victor K2 as a flyable. My first airshow WTF moment was when I first laid eyes on that beast at the RIAT 85 show. It was parked kind of in the back at the far end of the static area. It was really a sight to see just sitting on the ground... Very unusual design. Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills. If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck! "If at first you don't succeed, Carrier Landings are not for you!" Link to comment

Ells228
Yes sorry that was my bad talking about boom operator position with Pete. Of course for the Typhoon this isn't needed so think more modern aircraft without the boom operator. Would love to do the VC10 but we have great access to another aircraft ;) Link to comment
