Abburo
Announcement: DCS Warbirds Collection All aircraft will have the External Flight Model (EFM) and Advanced Systems Modelling (ASM) to DCS fidelity standards. As with all of our modules, we will develop these aircraft to military specifications. Chris and the VEAO team. You and your team work is awesome! I bought the PC Pilot specially for the Hawk article. I've seen your announcment in the interview where you named it something like "warbirds pack for DCS Flamming Cliffs 3". Having this in mind and also the statement in your first post leads me think that the flight model will be SFM. Could you please clarify this aspect? Pman
Are you saying that the ones at Duxford are not available? We do not have an agreement with the Sally B guys to use her for any modelling work or systems data. Its not something that I want to rule out but its not something in our short/medium term plans. Sure, when the article was penned some weeks ago the intention was to do the aircraft with non clickable pits, all FC3 level aircraft are required to have EFM/PFM now, however after some discussion internally we decided that our customer wanted the full experience including clickable pits so we changed our development path to include fully clickable pits for each aircraft :) As such our aircraft will have EFM (up to PFM standards) and ASM for the internals/cockpit Hope that clears that up Pman Link to comment

Ells228
As far as I know the ones at Duxford are in the IWM hangar. There's a huge difference in walking around the outside of them to get photos and getting in them and looking at tech manuals. Not out of the realms of the possible of course, just trickier. According to Wags post, the EFM uses only a part of the PFM. What an EFM will, or won't, deliver is actually not precisely defined. westr
So we will have a merlin engined spitfire and a griffon engined one. Things are coming together nicely. I can imagine some of the sharks mouth skins for the P-40 already this is really exciting. PFM is defined by ED for their products. EFM is what the 3rd party's work with. Essentially our EFM will be the same as PFM to the limit of what ED allow us to do with EFM. Wow that's a mouthfull!! Glad you think so, I will say this now, but you have NO IDEA the amount of conversations Chris and I have had over the past few weeks where we have been driving somewhere for something and we are grinning ear to ear with things that are in the pipeline! I'll definitely buys these but wouldn't have be that keen about buying FC3 level planes (for any time period). Great news all round regarding the Warbirds Collection. All the best for that. P.S. ED Team NineLine Posted April 22, 2014 ED Team Share Posted April 22, 2014 Ok, enough distraction from the topic at hand.... ok one more.... Ok... now, a real question... would you guys ever consider the addition of AI aircraft to complement your releases? I dont know if the tanker you talked about it going to be AI or not, but perhaps a bomber to escort, or enemy aircraft, etc.. Ukhtral
Hey guys ! I hardly post at this forum, but I had to come in and thank you for that project. You are spectacular ! I am even more grateful because the P-40 was one of the first fighters to compose the Brazilian Air Force and will be a pleasure to fly it in DCS. Below you have a quick and informative link with information during his service in our Air Force: http://www.rudnei.cunha.nom.br/FAB/en/p-40.html Thank you ! Link to comment

Ok... now, a real question... would you guys ever consider the addition of AI aircraft to complement your releases? I dont know if the tanker you talked about it going to be AI or not, but perhaps a bomber to escort, or enemy aircraft, etc.. The tanker that we talked about for the Typhoon will be a fully flyable aircraft with multiple positions to allow someone to fly it while another is operating as the boom operator. As for the AI for it we will endeavor to have it working the same as the tankers that are in there now but that will take some work. This is in the long term plans either way. As for AI aircraft, as we have hinted through this thread we are looking at warbirds as a long term line of products, starting with the ones we mentioned. What will come in 2nd line and beyond we cant say for sure yet. What I can confirm though is that we have spoken about a number of potential aircraft that we feel we could do justice to and they include twin and quad engine bombers. If we put them in the sim as a flyable aircraft I would envisage they will work as AI as well. Pman Link to comment
