The Su-27 Mozdok fortress is not working.

I did start the Mozdok fortress campaign for the Su-27, but i got to the mission Take Down, and it doesn't complete at all, i take down all the F-18 then order the Sead and strike teams to advance, they complete theyr jobs and then no mission success appears nor the score get to 100. I tried 3 times i got even the 2 f-18 escorting the AWACS down, and nothing. I believe there is something wrong with the campaign.

If someone knows how to complete this mission please help, i really want to complete the Su-27 campaign as i like a lot this fighter.

I dunno if the problem is in the campaign or not but I think it is because I had such a issue in another FC campaign. You can try to open the campaign in the editor, search for the problem and fix it locally (if it's an easy problem).

 

I tried a Su-33 campaign once and there was a mission where you should only land at an airport but one must be carefull to not fly to far away because there where enemys. The problem was with the new patchs and FC3 instead of 2 etc. they did actually attack one while landing^^ I removed them locally in the editor so I could complete the mission :D

Is there some kind of procedure to get the accompanying Flankers to keep formation without burning all their fuel?

I found the first few missions of the campaign well made, exciting and achievable. But like you, I'm finding that A-50 take down nigh on impossible.

Drive by post here, but can you fly slower so they don't need burners to keep formation?

I tried to cruise at various speeds, both high and low. Even at lower speeds, they were still constantly turning on their afterburners and had to turn back to Mozdok just before the engagement started. I even tried to get them to follow the route on their own, hoping they would conserve fuel but with little luck. Pretty strange...

Same problem here in the Su-27 campaign. Wingman constantly switching between afterburners and airbrakes just to stay in formation even when I'm cruising at medium speeds resulting in him being out of fuel when I still have more than enough.

I've done a quick mod to that mission.

 

Goto C:\..\..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Flaming Cliffs\Missions\EN\Campaigns

and back up 'Su-27-Fortress Mozdok.cmp', that is the campaign.

Then put the file below 'Su-27 FM Camp 8.miz' into that folder.

 

 

Then you'll have to mod the campaign with 'Campaign builder' and replace Su-27 Camp 8.miz at 'stage 9' with the new downloaded mission 'Su-27 FM Camp 8.miz'.

 

That should then allow you to continue with your campaign.

AdolfoWilson Hi , I have also had problems with the Su-27 campaign , I also like that plane. I already completed the mission, but I have had problems , some missions repeated them several times and never took for completion , then I knew it was a mistake. Take the missions that were not completed and analized in the mission editor , I discovered that there were some conditions were not met , for example in the last mission when the bombers must destroy the U.S. aircraft carrier , succeeded not because they did not reach the missiles and bombs to destroy to finish , and for the mission to be successful must be destroyed fleet ( all boats ) complete USA . I then changed the condition for the shoot down all the planes is sufficient to complete the mission and campaign . I have also modified other missions also had problems. Finally finished the campaign. Unfortunately the changes I made to each mission, were lost with an update. Always updating , these missions and campaigns return to their original state.

I've brushed over the whole campaign and updated it.

 

Just drop all the contents into

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Flaming Cliffs\Missions\EN\Campaigns

 

No need to back anything up it will just create a separate campaign named 'V2'.

The trigger for completion on Take Down wasn't right, it only works on a rare occurrence, it would also have the same problem in FC2. Plus only 2 missions had a certain trigger able to activate a unit working, the other missions the unit was always active so I fixed that.

 

I've also added some new texts and sounds to make the aircraft orders more complete and an odd extra feature in 2 or 3 missions.

 

It may be more difficult as I've changed the missions to fog of war, let me know if you want anything changing.

 

EDIT:

After reading T.Jacobs post I've adjusted the final mission also. The anti ship group should be more effective now.

I've updated the campaign package in my post above.

 

Here is the mission just drop it into

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Flaming Cliffs\Missions\EN\Campaigns

overwrite the current mission and everything should be fine.

Most people won't mind a higher level of difficulty as long as the missions can be completed. Hopefully I'll get a chance to try it during the next few days and report back. Thanks again for editing this one!

Thank you Guys for all the effort and atention into this problem, specially Frostie for making all these changes on the campaign. I hope ED take a special time to update all the game campaings to work right on the new terms of recent patches they have released. I`m downloading the campaign version that you edited Frostie. So Thank you Guys!!

 

Oh and to help the wingman not waste so much fuel, you must wait arround the airfield until all of them take off, then you get into the route without accelerating too fast, they will afterburn for some time until they reach their positions on formations but, they slowdown and keep right, just keep your speed and try to not get too far away from the group. I know this isn`t a solution but this helped me to get them on the F-18 over the sea. Again thanks for all the help.

in third mission, i am suppose to protect su-25's and they are suppose to destroy enemy artillery. but as soon as they see enemy f-16's,they jettison their weapons, so they can not destroy anything. what should i do? is it a bug?

in third mission, i am suppose to protect su-25's and they are suppose to destroy enemy artillery. but as soon as they see enemy f-16's,they jettison their weapons, so they can not destroy anything. what should i do? is it a bug?

 

This campaign is getting some love right at the moment and should be out in the near future.

 

There are some new advanced waypoint commands for stopping them jettisioning their ordinance in DCSW 1.5x and these need to be used / added, so it is no longer a bug.

Su-27 - Fortress Mozdok campaign was rewritten and fixed and fully tested at the beginning of the DCS world v1.54 cycle.

 

It will not necessarily play the same as it use to and may indeed have new issues due to the later patches to 1.54xxx and above.

 

The bug fixed were never announced in the official changelogs.

This means? If I am still struggling with mission 2.5 now, I can not download the fixed campaign from frostie? Or is the DCS World v1.54 just about to be released? Sorry for those questions, but I am kinda confused...
