NVidia Drivers Released 3/31/14 v335.23

Recommended Posts

I notice a sharper image in DCS now. Could be a " Pavlov Ian" effect as I drooled at the prospect of an enhanced DX9 Driver.

I just updated my driver, thanks.

When I do a scan of my GPU here on the Nvidia website http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/74066

I get this information

"About your GPU"

Quadro K5000M

Cores 1344

Base Clock 601MHz

Boost Clock 601MHz

Memory 4096MB

What does this info tell me?

I usually wait on adding "Any Update" to my PC to see how it works for others.

I was on my way to the golf course when I wrote the initial post. l wanted to say that I added the new drivers from the 10th. on the 31st. and did notice a clearer image quality on my 760.

Shot another 84 can't seem to get the chipping and putting going yet this yr. for those who play.

ARMAIII necessitated my reluctant upgrade to v335.23, and it fixed my crashing and seems a "GO" on DCS World also. If this info helps any...

Oppss Well, the Shadowplay gives me the blue screen of death, hard crash. no workie, no likie... OK, its beta I see. I need to let some one there know, could be because I can't set any of the hotkeys or paths..

Oh well, every thing else is cool, not so sure DCS can benefit from the GTX780, but what do I know.. I mean it don't break it..:) and it did seem to fix my ARMAIII campaign crash, (not hard crash like ShadowPlay did).

Some of the games don't like OC'd gpu's and my 780 is not OC'd, ARMAIII may be one that don't like it. I've not tried Multi-player, I'll try it tomorrow if I can.

Good to know. I quit during the second part of the ARMA-campaign because it kept crashing on me all the time. DCS generally works fine with 335.23, but in MP there still are moments where it drops down to 10-15 frames, and I recently upgraded to a 780Ti OC... DX11 is needed so badly for DCS...

Take note of my edit, ShadowPlay Crashes Hard. I tripped over the GTX780 or I would not have upgraded beyond my GTX580, 580 works Awesome.

To continue past "The Rain" in ARMAIII, I had to Drop the graphic's to nil then I was able to "get out of the rain". then I jacked them back up. this could be just an HDR issue, any one still crying "in the rain" my try ditching HDR till the "sun comes out".

<note to self, you suppose they get it that most people are crashing at the part where it starts raining>

Aye, I had a 580 up until last week, too, but never any problems with the rain in ARMA3. You are right, the 580 is still fast and I loved that card, but it cannot really cope with 8xQ/16xQ & TSSAA anymore (at least not in DX9-DCS) which considerably enhances the ability to spot other A/C in-game.

  • 2 weeks later...

Heads up

337.50 is available.

Other seem to be using it fine with Shadow Play, I can't try it till its released. I give you what's left of my luck, if you should choose that pill.

Good idea. When that happens, get the 780ti during a discount at microcenter. I may or may not do this, providing how good / expensive they are.

I upgraded my 560Ti to a 770 and it was a nice jump in performance. 580 to 770 isn't quite as much of an upgrade though.

DCS can't really make use of the hardware at the moment anyway so I'd wait for EDGE if you want to see some real improvements.

The 900 series will probably be out by then! :D
