As has been stated, these things arent open for discussion. They have said all they can for right now.

I'm not looking to cause trouble, but I think you are opening yourself up for problems if you simply say issues around what happened to the kickstarter cash are not going to be discussed.

If you can't address it because of legal issues, please say so and specify what legal issues.

Or perhaps I could put it this way:

Will DCS be funding this project out of its own pocket? Will any percentage of the kickstarter funds be used in development?

There are plenty of places in the world that like to hear your troubles... do you have a local pub? :) If you do, have one for me.

Sithspawn, thanks for your patience and thanks for updating this information.

But my guess its that this post or others will be in spiral unless RRG or ED creates a big explanation about whats going on.

I backed a 3rd party so that they would create a module.

The fact that ED its taking the project its great, but also please understand that's not what I paid for.

I was hoping for RRG to take care of the full WW2 area of DCS, so they can put resources and a fresh view into DCS so that ED doenst have to put money, time, resources into it.

I wanted a specialized team behind this so our questions, bugs, suggestions would taken care off, so that DCS WW2 would be a product in it self. not depending in ED.

Why? because I know ED its a small team, that has to set priorities and cant fix everything as fast as I would like.

Yes. I understand somethings are not out for discussion, but RRG has the responsibility to explain what has happened to OUR money.

So I hope you fix your problems internally and then, write an explanation of whats happening.

It is good to finally hear any news about this project. It is great to hear that ED will be honoring the kickstarter commitments.

I don't think the details of what happened to RRG are all that important. What I (and I think others) want to know is this: What is ED is going to do going forward to ensure that kickstarted 3rd party modules can/will be successful?

I want to back more modules so my favorite sim can grow but I think we all need to have our confidence bolstered to consider backing any more 3rd party projects at this point.

Sith, since you're answering questions, I have a few minor ones:

- Will there will still be a community to poll to choose the free aircraft? If so, any idea what kind of time (before all aircraft are released, after some are, etc)?

- Will there will even be a free aircraft (or maybe more than 1?)?

- Will anything come of the logo competition?

These aren't Kickstarter-specific promises/goals/rewards, so I was just wondering what ED intends to do with these minor topics. I'm sure there are other minor community-related things like this which I'm forgetting. I guess I'm just asking whether ED is planning to work with some of the ideas RRG brought to the DCS community outside of Kickstarter.

All I see is DCS F/A-18C won't see the light of day until "2020" and the second crowd funded DCS product that had issues and then someone else took the burden of holding up the promises.

Oh well, WWII isn't for me but hopefully it makes others happy.

All that is to be determined, they want to try and keep things as close to the KS as possible I am sure.

I would simply like a refund of my kickstarter contribution. Then when this sim does get released, I'll buy it. For now, I want my money back please. Tell me how I get it.

I think it is safe to assume all ED inherited from this shenanigan are the unfinished project, and some RRG employees.

Shocked but not surprised. Well like others have said, project isn't cancelled and backers will be honored, so I'm okay with this. Also nice to see an estimated release outline (and I understand it's an estimation), I am glad that we won't have to wait until the entire thing is done before we see any of these planes. Also - I love those reflections in the gauges!

I think it's a good news! But we will have delays for the planes, and it look like they will be short of money, the Me 262 and the AI B17 are on the dust shelf...

I'm still confident with the game.

The bad news? The forums will be full of whining.

A huge thank you to Eagle Dynamics for honouring this project, it would have been a shame to have seen the whole game abandoned.

As long as ED or the community are able to create new maps, and with VEAO creating additional aircraft as well, this could still be the great sim we have all hoped for.

I dont think this was ever officially added to the KS page, I imagine we will have to see if that was something ED said could be done or not, we will be going over all the rewards and seeing who should have what already, etc.

What up if i buy the P51 after the KS completion because LUTHIER did not send me a key for my P51 reward ( i know i could not wait). Will we have right to another rewards or something else ?

IL-2 Cliffs of Dover - tragedy in the first day, only last patches and amazing work of Team Fusion did "flyable" this sim.

As I remember from my kickstarer now I can recive early acces. Where is it? Cant find a link...
