An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously. I never actually thought i would fly it, due to the russian cockpit. IRL some forign users must have some mi-8s with "translated" cockpits. One can only hope that Belsim make a option to fly it with a english cockpit, as it will boost their sale. This MOD will actually make me fly it when released. TY a lot, exellent. I make a copy of MI8MTV-STND-TEXTURES.zip, set it up in JSGME, paste in the replacement textures, and boom! black cockpit with no textures. Of note, the file I'm downloading is 14.8MB, not 15.2.
