anyone has upgraded to 10?

any driver issue or dcs issue?

 

Only X55 doesn't works on 10 (hangs pc if you unplug it and have "continuous fire" in DCS")

Had a steady 60 fps on the VA server earlier after installing windows 10, game settings on med. I5 3.20GHz, NVidia Geforce 660ti 2gb,Kingston 240gb SSD,16gb ram. Hav'nt messed with TracIR or Saitec X52pro or Flight Rudder pedals yet. WinX install went smooth, I like it considering I vowed to nvr touch Win8.

that was my only issue at first, drivers.

 

I had to edit Creatives Drivers to make them install PCI Xfi Drivers for my sound card to work, same for my black magic card.

 

next thing I mod from 7 to 10 is Windows Media Center :-)

 

had it workinv in 130 build, but they either patched it to stop users or something else changed.

 

Playready DRM is in 10, just have to register dlls and get the executable to run correctly.

 

DCS runs great in Win10, provided you have drivers for all your stuff.

 

As for productivity, I like the MP desktop setup better in Windows 10 than 7, easier to work on 3 mains and 2 aux screens in 10,

 

from a gaming standpoint w/ AMD, eyefinity is pretty much the same

SkateZilla, do you know if creative has released win10 drivers for xfi yet?

PC:

 

6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.

Anyone with a MS FFB2 joystick running WIndows 10? Does it work?

guys do I need to deactive keys and active again after upgrade ?

 

I would deactivate, and reactivate after install just to be sure, during my testing using dual boot to windows 10 preview I did use up an activation.

I upgraded to Win10 an hour ago. Update went well, except that I had to reinstall my WLAN Adapter and Antivirus software (BitDefender). Update itself took about 30min.

 

For DCS I use the following configuration:

 

Saitek X52pro

Saitek Rudder

Thrustmaster Cougar MFD

a PS3 controller

a PS3Eye with FTNoIR 1.8 alpha1 with Pointtracker 1.1

 

I did not made any big test, but just started an A-10 on the runway and checked if all components mentioned above were recognized and work. AND YES THEY DID

 

Concerning activation.... I was not forced to reactivate. It just starts as normal.

I7-9700K -- 32GB RAM -- RTX 4070 -- Virpil T-50CM3 Throttle + WarBRD Base -- Thrustmaster TPR -- Quest 3

Interesting, I only have my throttle hooked up right now as my x55 stick is RMA right now, no issue with using the throttle right now in 10.

 

If I use only the throttle I need only to reinstall drivers at every reboot but it works.

If the throttle works, on the stick I have rapid fire like in old commodore 64 joystick :megalol: (to cheat in trak'n field game)

 

If I unplug the joystick the mouse became unresponsive and the left and right clicks don't work (only a beep) so I must reset the PC from case switch.

 

I spend all night on this problem so if you need more info or a video ask me. :)

That is odd. Did you have to change the BIOS Status "Use Legacy USB". Or is this an old mouse you really like and don't want to change to a newer model? I am assuming it isn't a PS2 mouse in that question.

Ive been using it for the past two days as the final consumer version and

DCS seems to run very well now. I dont know if my 4 gig video cards

with DX12 are now running at 8 gigs being as DCSW is DX10, but

the dashboard sure seems more clear and Im liking it !!!

I notice an increment of 8-10 fps on full hd and all graphic options set to max.

 

(4770 stock freq, 770 dcuII, ssd evo 840, 64gb ram)
