Hmm that looks like either the skin itself is corrupted, or made for an older version of the game, or possibly that the texture files aren't being installed to the correct places.

How are you installing the skins? Manually or using JSGME?

Using JSGME is well worth the effort as you can use it for almost all the available mods. If you get the directory structures correct it also avoids manual installation problems.

Learn all about JSGME here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607

The screen shot you posted makes me think that half, or some proportion, of the skin texture has been corrupted by some means. Try running the DCS repair tool and see if that makes a difference.

DCS Repair will not fix skin corruption error. If I remember right, they changed how the panels lay out for the Su27 or some such. Search around for another thread covering the same problem. You need to correct the description.lua file for the custom skins to fix the issue.

As far as I can tell, the first skin (at least) installs just fine. I didn't take the time to try them all.

I simply copied the Splinter Camo folder and pasted it into the proper directory: (Your Installations Location)\Bazar\Liveries\su-27

So either your copy is corrupted or there's a problem with your install.

Description.lua needs to be tweaked so they will work. I can do this for you.

LOL, I had the exact same problems with my skins and I'm using JSGME. Sometimes they worked okay, other times they were like Kunze's. Thanks, Blaze!

Okay, I got this problem again. Back part among the fins is the problematic one and wheels are miscolored as well. I think the skin is called "Baranovichi AFB" or something like that.

Attaching my description.lua:

livery = {

{"su27_tex01", 0 ,"Su27_tex01_bel",false};

{"su27_tex01", 3 ,"empty.tga",true};

{"su27_tex02", 0 ,"Su27_tex02_bel",false};

{"su27_tex02_compos", 0 ,"Su27_tex02_bel",false};

{"su27_tex01_BN31", 0 ,"Su27_tex01_bel",false};

{"su27_tex01_BN31", 3 ,"Su-27_numbers_Bred",false};

{"su27_tex01_BN32", 0 ,"Su27_tex01_bel",false};

{"su27_detail", 0 ,"Su-27_detail",true};

{"su27_detail_compos", 0 ,"Su-27_detail",true};

}

countries = {"RUS"}

Note, there is no "Su-27_detail" or "Su-27_decol_for" in the folder itself, I copied that from the examples you posted, Blaze. Should I replace them with "empty.tag"?

Thanks!

I have uploaded the entire skin for you because the original was not very good.

Hi,

Can somebody explain, what to do with those descriptions.lua? I have some skins, but it seems, that they are working only if they have good sleep :D.

I don´t know, what to do (what repair) in description.lua. Thanks in advance
