FI Pike
Dear All, I am just about to do a computer upgrade and my son who is doing it has asked me if there is anyone who is running Lockon on 64 bit and are there any driver problems with regard to game, joystick (MSFF2) and rudder pedals (CH). If there are I will probably tell him not to bother unless it is not too difficult. Best regards, Pike
Airway
Hi Pike, why don't you just ask below your fellow squad mates :D I have running LockOn 1.02 (so it's not Flaming Cliffs, but will make no difference) on Vista64. Running fine with my Nvidia graphic adapter. I'm not too sure with MS MSFF2.
Prophet
It will work fine in XP64. As for the MSFF2? and CH pedals? No idea. I am sure if they have available drivers to download.
scottysonfire
Im running FC on x64 and it seems fine, but Im not using any fancy game controllers, just a logitech joystick. "I feel the need..."
qrazi
Depends mostly on whether there are drivers available that work. Lockon itself should work, because of WOW64. And looking at the other reactions in this thread, Lockon seems to be working under 64-bit versions of Windows... CH Products lists XP-64 support for its pedals: http://www.chproducts.com/retail/pedals.html. Couldn't find the MSFF2 for sure, but google results indicate it probably works out of the box, for instance: http://forums.driverguide.com/showthread.php?t=11683 and http://forums.techarena.in/vista-hardware-devices/737973.htm MSI 870A-G54, AMD Phenom II X2 555 @Phenom II X4 B55 BE, 3.2 GHz quad-core, Asus EAH4870 DK/HTDI/512MD5, OCZ Gold Edition DDR3 1333MHz 4GB Kit Low-Voltage. Kuky
While back I installed Vista Ultimate 64-bit to try it out and I had sound issues in LockOn. About every time I'd start in cockpit there would be this very loud engine noise... even if engine is not running. It would go away only after I started engine and going into and out of burner. Another thing I didn't like with Vista (32-bit or 64-bit) is that V-Sync no longer works in that OS and can only be enabled if game itself has an option to enable it. Other than that LockOn ran alright. No longer active in DCS...
