Buzpilot
v1.2.3 After AI helicopter getting hit, and shut down engines, it seem indestructable. Jona33
Can't watch the track but flares are ineffective against the Hawk. It is a radar based tracking system, not IR. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Buzpilot
Can't watch the track but flares are ineffective against the Hawk. It is a radar based tracking system, not IR. I'm using Stingers (Avenger), while a Hawk system also tracking the chopper, maybe unable to react on both types at the same time. i5 4670 - Sabertooth Z87- GTX Titan - Dell U3011 30" - 2x8GB RAM 1800 - Samsung 840 EVO 512GB SSD - Warthog HOTAS - CH Pro pedals - TrackIR5 - Win7 64bit EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Buzpilot
Using larger gun, I see it's just that it's almost impossible to destroy that chopper, but I can confirm it's not using flares while radar missiles are in air and tracking. Buzpilot
Looks better now, in 1.2.6. But I noticed the AI chopper, still fail to use proper ECM, if it's tracked by both Radar guided missile, and IR guided.ECM fail on chopper.trk i5 4670 - Sabertooth Z87- GTX Titan - Dell U3011 30" - 2x8GB RAM 1800 - Samsung 840 EVO 512GB SSD - Warthog HOTAS - CH Pro pedals - TrackIR5 - Win7 64bit EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
xxJohnxx
Does the Mi-24 even have Chaff with him? And Chaff without a jammer is rather useless anyway. Buzpilot
Does the Mi-24 even have Chaff with him? And Chaff without a jammer is rather useless anyway. At least there is a difference in flare program. While HAWK is tracking, the Mi-24 drop 2 Flares, one each side, at a 1 sec rate. But when I launch a IR missile (Stinger) it should drop many more, much faster. And the Mi-24 fails to do so, when it's still tracked by Hawk system. Basicly ai pilot go blind, while doing evading maneuver. Evil.Bonsai
DCS's threat response is a bit simple. Most vehicles will react to the highest, or first detected, threat and nothing else.
