Anybody who applied 1.2.15 can you confirm if this update will not cause constant crashes. I am eery with beta updates and so far downloaded 1.2.15 beta (without updater update).

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I'm not going to get into a fight with a moderator again because by definition one will loose that one... But I recall reading that too somewhere.

Now that the 1.2.15 update is released, the team will be focused on final testing and preparing DCS World 2 (and the NTTR map) for its debut.

Just like the last few releases, this was done to release other modules. Now it's the Hawk. I'm not sure if there is another in the near future, but like others have mentioned, we could see another interim update.

All right, sorry I thought it was clearer.

I can understand the misinterpretation. I had to reread it myself to be honest. With 2.0 being close, announcements are being closely watched and it's easy to jump the gun. I wonder at times if the developers here feel like they are walking on eggshells when they post and how they post, because of a potential backlash. :)

Oops OK, thanks for the explanation.

I don't use the OpenBeta of DCS, just the module.

Wait in few days.

Thanks again.

That's how I read it as well. But anyway this update seems to mainly deploy patches and installers made by 3rd party devs or partners, plus a few texture and lighting tweaks. Armchair conclusion: ED's focus is still 98.2% on DCS2.0. :D

Confused, sorry clearly an obvious question however updating DCS world doesn't change from 1.15 and how do I know if I have open beta of DCS World. I bought the a10 as a beta but don't know about world. Missing the Hawk and would like to get it back - thanks for any explanation

Am I the only one noticing that tracers no longer cause major fps drops?

Edit: Nevermind, still seems the same. The F-86 tracers seem to be improved though. Probably got to do with the fire-rate tweaks.

  • ED Team

Remember guys, the purpose of these releases are for new modules, fixes are generally a bonus except when it comes to newer modules... many fixes may have to wait till 2.0. Why? Because ED is pretty much in 2.0 mode, so any fixes done in 2.0 might not transfer over easily to 1.2.XX due to changes in the core of DCS World.
