Agreed. lets let the auction come to a close (without bidding each other up :) ) and see if anyone else is interested. we'll then ship to the most logical recipient at that point and distribute from there, hopefully saving us all $$££ in the long run.

Holly cow I can not believe some one payed that for an old A-10 Throttle wow.

are these available somewhere for less? if so it must be a close guarded secret . the other one i seen for sale was Flim's and he was asking more then that

its nice to have acquaintance and a source in industry of interest.

i'm looking at prices of lathe tooling and machining metrology items on ebay. of course it would be easy for me to say "bah! how much this fool paid for the lot of high speed steel leftovers!?" when i got a super nice boring bar, holders and loads of carbide and ceramic inserts for next to nothing.

if you have the know of who, where and when to score a deal - great.

for the rest its market price

Anton.

Your comparing apples to oranges by this I mean products that are widely available in the surplus and retail market to Items that are not well documented and very scarce.

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Whoa that's a lot of money right there  I don't get it either but then again I don't fully understand the fuzz about the book either. Great pictures, lots of info and stuff but for pit building I am looking towards the book Deadman is working on.

Would I buy it if the re-printed it. Sure :smilewink:

Cheers

Hans

Is it just me, or is this just getting stupid?

Easy to do with friends who have PayPal accounts.

1) Ask your friends to bid

2) They push up the price

3) you make an honest bid

4) You get outbid(again !), You get an Paypall Msg (from owner) saying I dont feel the other bidder is really going to pay that price for it. (their friend) and offers to sell to you slightly below the highest bid as a buy it now.

5) you buy it or say no thank you

6) if you say no. the auction ends early. friends are off the hook and not forced by PayPal to actually pay for it.

Or something similar to that....

Jiminy Christmas. This guy is proud of this. I mean, he should be, but got no clue what it's trying to emulate. Some kind of trainer? For this price, you could "go and buy your own ship!" (Please no "But who's going to fly it, you?" References. You know, Star Wars? Oh never mind. ;) )
