MiG-21 Split Livery (official template) description lua template

Glad that LNS has released the official template. However, it's a new uvmap that split current two dif files into many sub parts.

Therefore, this skin template can not be used for game now (maybe later).

The template pack includes a new edm file which is used to test your new skin based on this official template in modelviewer.

here attached is the compatible description lua for the new template. Then you can test many skins in modelviewer.

Hint:

If your current skin file has resolution 8192x8192, then you can easily convert current one to new one by using crop in PS

The edm included is meant for working in sections using the modelviewer. The user will find that many parts are missing and not meant for in-game use.

It's not new. The user will have to combine the textures once satisfied.

To further elaborate:

The split textures are saved seperately, and then you combine them into the 8K texture used in the game. You need to turn Snap on in Photoshop, and position the images just as they are on the 8K (use it as a base layer and place your new ones on top)

The .edm included in the paintkit is to help you create your textures without combining them for every revision. :)

Also important:

use .dds sharpening (Sharpening button on DDS save dialogue) and select Sharpen Soft

Thanks,

Nick
