With the experience of the previous events the goal of the new campaign is to provide a more dynamic and stable war environment to the participants. The battlefield is once more located around the Caucasus mountains, with Blue and Red teams trying to get the upper hand by completing tasks that will influence the outcome. Squadron & Pilot Registration: http://www.anon6.com/ *Please leave a note in this topic also when you register in order to doublecheck. Registrations closed! Thanks to all who registered! STANDARD OPERATION PROCEDURES (S.O.P): http://anon6.com/forum/m/13804678/viewthread/14277778-operation-summer-rain-starts-oct23-2014 *ANON6 is the home site for Operation Summer Rain. **Operation Summer Rain is all about teamwork. We are accepting other community squadrons as a group to register for this campaign. Each squadron will be assigned to their own airbase and be provided with assets to cover all campaign roles. If you are an individual pilot not associated with a squad but love team play to complete mission tasks then we will be more than happy to find you a home for the duration of the campaign with one of our active squads. Please let us know if you need to be recruited to squad on your application form. All registrants must use a proper squad handle for their Enjin account and DCS handle during session play. Promo Video Credits to 373vFS_Crash Registered Squadrons: Blue Side : IAF ANON6 UOAF ESCUADRON 69 Suomi Finland Red Side : 373vFS =UVP= SVK NOB =UVAF= Please note As noted before, our main goal is to provide a stable mission environment. For this reason we set successfully the limit of the previous Campaign to 40 pilots. As we already have squadrons registered for the Operation Summer Rain, we are scheduling a stress test with all the new squadrons that will register in order to set new maximum stability limits. The stress test will be right after the registrations are closed. If the results do not meet our standards we will have to stick on our previous settings and limit the participation numbers of the new registered squadrons. Key features of the Campaign: -Register as a Squad and get assigned to your side & dedicated Airbase. -Select available Aircraft numbers & types for your Airbase Warehouses. -Each side starts with an amount of virtual currency in order to ''buy'' aircraft depending their cost.Aircraft losses decrease their initial available number. -Squadron Leaders will have to plan weekly missions in order to serve their Sides master plan. -Planning,adding Waypoints & other info into the mission file through the Multiplayer Mission Planner (Browser - Based) during the week by the Squadron Leaders. -Capture Enemy Airbases by destroying all their facilities /ground forces and by transporting friendly units with UH-1H's /Mi-8's near their location. -Relocate your squadrons aircrafts in case your Airbase is captured. -Plan Special Ops Transport Missions with Choppers to temporarily capture or destroy enemy assets. -Destroy enemy Radar sites to reduce the available enemy intercept fighters and enemy GCI picture. -Intercept AI fighters will only take off when the Airbase Radars spot enemy aircraft threat. -Provide CAS and escort friendly Ground units to capture and hold cities Attack enemy naval units that will attempt to provide Air Defense cover or Ground Attack. -Ground Commanders can provide GCI services & control Air ,Naval & Ground AI units in order to support the war. -Resource Managment . Ammo Depots resupply the Airbases. Squadrons will have to protect them in order to keep the level of available ammunition high. -In order to provide more intensive air to air fights it is decided to use only the following air to air missiles during the campaign. Available Air to Air Missiles : R-60M / R-73 / AIM-9M / AIM-9P / AIM-7 / R-27R -The state of every mission is saved at the end, all ground units status and new positions are "loaded" in the next session. -Pilot & Team statistics avaiable after each mission (Example: http://89.163.173.82/DCS/Default.html ) Available DCS Modules : FC3 (SU-27 / F-15C / MiG-29 / A-10A / SU-25A) A-10C SU-25T F-86F MiG-21 KA-50 UH-1H Mi-8 Combined Arms -Victory Conditions Red side wins if all of the next conditions are true: 1st Stage Capture and hold Sochi Airbase Capture and hold Gudauta Airbase Capture and hold Suchumi Airbase Capture and Hold one city of the 3 fronts 2nd Stage Capture Batumi Airbase Blue side wins if all of the next conditions are true: 1st Stage Capture and hold Novorossiysk Airbase Capture and hold Krasnodar Airbase Capture and hold Maykop Airbase Capture and Hold one city of the 3 fronts 2nd Stage Capture: Mineral Vody Airbase If no side completes the objectives after 14 missions then the side that owns most of the Airbases and cities wins. Rhinox
Question: You wrote "STARTING DATE: 23rd of October 2014". Does it mean you want to run this even on thursday(s)? That might be "small" problem for some of us (school, work, etc)...
mwd2
Question: You wrote "STARTING DATE: 23rd of October 2014". Does it mean you want to run this even on thursday(s)? That might be "small" problem for some of us (school, work, etc)... From the SOP: TIMETABLE The Campaign runs 2 times per week . The mission days are on every Thursday & Sunday. Starting time: 18:30 zulu (please show up 1/2 hour early) Ending time : 21:30 zulu Inside the mission the time is dynamic and will move forwards with each mission. We will not have complete night time missions but rather twilight missions that will run from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, therefore after we reach the night time mission, it will automatically jump to 5:00 AM on the next mission. Participants are free to join all days or only the days that fit their program. The timetable is set in a way in order to provide at least one available day for all pilots that join from different time zones. Rhinox
I'm not registered on anon6 so I could not read SOP. And I did not dare to register before all details were known to me. Kind of "circulusu vitiosus" (closed circle)... Anyway, thursday & sunday evening is very bad combination for all those going to work/school next day... gregzagk
Okay.... interesting ;) Let me figure out if i can make it.... Im sure a mig29s will be there somewhere ;) Yes there are Mig-29's. Available DCS Modules : FC3 (SU-27 / F-15C / MiG-29 / A-10A / SU-25A) A-10C SU-25T F-86F MiG-21 KA-50 UH-1H Mi-8 Combined Arms Each side will have to use wise their available number of aircraft as fighters will cost more . Question: You wrote "STARTING DATE: 23rd of October 2014". Does it mean you want to run this even on thursday(s)? That might be "small" problem for some of us (school, work, etc)... Yes .As mwd2 mentioned the campaign will be on 2 days per week. We believe one at least day will fit to everyone's schedule. The participants wont have to fly both days but the squadrons will have to schedule their tasks in order to keep their airbases safe :) "ARGO" DCS UH-1H DLC SP Campaign 373vFS DCS World squadron (Greece) - www.buddyspike.net "ARGO 2.0 Project Phoenix" UH-1H DLC Campaign - WIP

Yes the post is visible for those who are already registered. We fixing it now but I edited the first post also with some extra details. The days (Thursday & Sundays) worked pretty well the last year for the most of the participants. Even if Fridays and Saturdays seem better they were not in the end cause most of the pilots had to be away from home or do other ''tasks'' due to other obligations. dannyq8
Hi This sounds excellent. Can you tell me the minimum number of pilots for a squad? Our squad is interested, in the process of finding out numbers Cheers Danny Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something. xcom
Minimum for a squad should be at least 2 people per each mission. As it is the whole coalition effort and not a single squad workload, it is still relevant for small squads to be part of the large strategic picture. gregzagk
No unfortunately we don't currently support it. Maybe in the future cause we want first to ensure the stability of the servers. For now we use Ground Commander slots that act like ATC & JTACs. Bushmanni
We have a small group of Finnish pilots who occasionally fly together but we don't have an official squad for ourselves. gregzagk
We have a small group of Finnish pilots who occasionally fly together but we don't have an official squad for ourselves. Should we create a temporary squad for registering to this event? Yes that would be great. Just register the new squad in ANON6 website and then register each one of you with a proper squad name infront of your squad (example : 373vFS_Greg) in order to ensure that the admins wont miss the registrations. Also please decide who would the ''leader'' of your new squad in order to manage some stuff as planning and communication with the other squad leaders. We had a 45 pilot session yesterday which was really stable. Our goal is to try with 60 pilots which will be the limit of the campaign. We hope it will work as we didnt see any issues with the 45 pilots. Hope that you will be ready until the test so that you will participate and have a nice time. Thanks guys!
