I was trying to watch some good old iron hand tutorials and comparing them with the F-15C manual in the new module when I spotted a video on the steam F-15C page. This I haven't seen before. It seems to incorporate the new PFM for the F-15C as well. He's like our community's Michael Bay. ;) Btw...at 1:08.. is that dust cloud/tumbleweed :p chaff?? Is chaff supposed to float around like that? I know its supposed to be some radar reflective material...but even flares slowly descent down to the earth (gravity effect). So modern radar can distinguish chaff from aircraft? If not shouldn't we be able to notice the false blips while in the F-15 radar during scanning? Witchking Posted June 29, 2014 Author Share Posted June 29, 2014 actually chaff should appear on your radar similar to ecm strobes, but that is unfortunately not implemented in DCS. so normally you should be able to even brake radar lock with chaff... at least in BMS i think it was like that, ylthough I haven't flown it for quite a while now. staying loyal to DCS ;) Good to know. Thanks. I guess maybe it will be implemented when ED fleshes out the radar systems in either the F/A-18C module or the full F-15C DCS module. I just think it is probably not yet feature complete with some graphical issues, artefacts, fixes needed for compatibility with wide range of hardware. Easily... have the video show the client loading into a MP server, then have the MP action following this and you could also have some audio from TeamSpeak with real clients in short bursts to emphasize the MP side of the action. Flying in a Server with 27 clients is a lot different from flying on your own in SP, its more intense and far more challenging... the video could also try to reflect this as best it could. Lots of real sim pilots are 10x better than the AI in this game!
