i know these are not Bis, but it would be great to have the skins

 

 

 

I made a long time ago a skin for 3002. If anyone is interested in this skin, i will put it for download. Here it is..

As we can se, you are preparing many skins for many countries. Will be those countries added to DCS World as sides of the conflict?

We're working on that but it1S not a closed case yet. We need to be check out which one is the simpliest way to add additional countries also we need to ensure we're not knock out other team or ED settings about these countries.

I recently entered your webpage: http://www.dcs-mig21.com and saw the Cuban skin that you made, Is really nice but is and old one.

Now in Cuba are two types of camouflages for the Mig-21, one is from the Occident part and other for the Oriental part of the country. The one you have is from the one that is in a museum in miami, that one is very old cause that plane was stolen from us.

Here are some pictures of the new pattern for both Orient and Occident if you have some question please ask me I will gladly help.

This one is for Occident:

Is amoeba type of patter

the patter is a lot similar to the Russian but with the color that are in the pictures, there are no better pictures than that one. I find it in image shack.

The colors are:

green tone 1 green tone 2 green tone 3 for the radome

brown tone 1 brown tone 2 Blue tone

And the Oriental one:

Blue tone green tone 1 gray tone

If you can please update the textures:thumbup:.

Great info's tnx. I'll plan to create latest Cuban skin, but unfortunately no info or pics available about latest Cuban MiG-21's paint scheme. So if you have any info about latest skin we will creta this skin of course.

The latest I've seen is from the photos taken from the N.Korean container ship.

Although it's not a Bis, it appears the nose cone is painted blue now

The nose is dark green:

Normaly the cuban skins have not an exactly paint scheme. They use the same color combination but every mig is diferent. This color scheme is for the Havana units. Santa Clara and Holguin bases have diferent scheme and colors

the Mig-23 have the same color skin.

Thous are not BIS, The are provably older MF or PF and that nose cone is the protective cover that they have when are in storage.

Is like the pictures I put and just like REPUBLICANO said. Different paint schemes for every plane and regions, I will try to make paintdesign blueprint cause I have no pictures but I see the planes almost every day.

I said in my post it is not a Bis. But there is no nose cover on it. You can clearly see the overspray onto the intake duct.

If you see them almost every day, can you get some pictures for us?

Great. I know no camera allowed. Same restriction was in Hungary before 90's...

All promises are debt so here you go guys, Sorry for the poor drawing skills but I think is very illustrative, The pattern isn't the same for every plane so feel free to improve all you guys want. The numbers are in black. And the marking are described on the picture. Also I didn't do the Oriental cause is very similar to the one that you already have. Minor changes in colors and is perfect.:thumbup:

I found some drawing of a Mig-29 camo pattern that is very similar to the one of the Mig-21, here you go:

You could use this pattern for the Mig-21. Three days ago I went to the airbase and stand very close to the Mig to see all the details. Thats way I noticed that the camo is very similar.:D Remember that none have the same pattern.

Hope this is more helpful than mine, I always got low grades in drawing.:music_whistling:
